The mutilation of our food does not end with the factory processing, it continues in our designer kitchens with the microwave. Why would we want to put our food into a contraption that kills everything. The microwave has become central to American cuisine. We even have experts telling us that microwaving vegetables in a phthalate-laden plastic bag delivers more nutrition than boiling or steaming. I am compelled to include a brief history of the microwave.
The microwave was developed by German scientists. They were looking for ways to feed their army as it marched to Warsaw. The microwave cooked without fuel. The German army was thwarted from invading Russia, and in the spoils of war Russia gained possession of the microwave technology. After a few years of study the Russians abandoned the device because of its undesirable effects on food. In the early 90s scientists in Switzerland proved that the microwave created radiotrons and changed the molecular structure of items that were subjected to its radiation. A radiotron is described as a substance that never existed before. In other words, the microwave changes ordinary food into an alien substance.
